The sheepskin used by UGG® does not involve the raising and killing of animals solely for their fur. Instead, the company’s strict ethical purchasing policy ensures that hides come from certified tanneries, where raw materials are sourced directly from animals slaughtered for meat, and which meet the standards set by the Leather Working Group – or from recycled leather sources.
